Master Data Management (MDM)

Master data management systems store core data in a consistent manner and make it accessible for use in various other systems and for various business applications and contexts.

Unless important data is kept in a consistent manner, it is not possible to utilize it in an optimal way. Data management systems are an important tool that allows you to make data accessible on a companywide basis, while displaying it in specific ways (e.g. list data in a way that is relevant to the sales department). Conversely, individual departments can update, add to, or change the data and make it accessible to your whole organization.
